Being a man of dust is a matter of birth. We all begin as men of dust. Being a man of spiritual purpose is a matter of choice, but never a matter of chance.
We humans live out a dangerous intellectual fiction centred on the belief that man is the highest value component of the universe. Our scientists believe they are on the threshold of putting their hands on the key to Creation with initiatives such as the Large Hadron Collider experiment on the French-Swiss border. They are wrong. Our wise men of science, our political leaders and environmentalists, world-wide, are leading us to oblivion. They have no idea who we are.
“And as we have borne the image of the one made of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one” (1 Corinthians 15:49).
“The first man is of the earth - made of dust; the second man is the Lord from heaven” (1 Corinthians 15:47).
Accordingly, it is written, ‘The first man, Adam, became a living soul; the last Adam became an ever-living Spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45).
