About the Authors

Dr Ken Tinley OAM is an internationally experienced ecologist and natural resource management specialist with more than 55 years of fieldwork across Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and Australia. Holding advanced degrees in ecology and environmental sciences, he has dedicated his career to understanding landscapes, ecosystems and the processes that sustain them. His pioneering work in rangeland management, habitat restoration and conservation has informed environmental management practices across diverse regions, from the African savannas to the Australian outback.

Lynne Tinley is an established Fremantle-based visual artist whose creative practice spans more than 60 years. With a BSc degree in Zoology, Botany, Geology with a minor in Art, her paintings reflect a lifelong connection to nature and wildlife conservation. Working intuitively, she explores the rhythms, energies and patterns of the natural world. Lynne has held 27 solo exhibitions across Africa and Western Australia, with works represented in public and private collections throughout Australia and internationally.
