About the Author
Glen Parks has studied writing for a lifetime, writing
and publishing poetry and short stories some years ago.
During the past five years she has studied three courses
in editing, including advanced editing and 90120
Certificate in Editing and Proofreading with the
Australian College of Journalism. Glen enjoys working on
her own writing.
She spent twelve years psychiatric nursing, eight years
general nursing, before ill health forced her to retire
from nursing, after which she cared for her mother for a
further fifteen years. Her mother did not approve of her
writing or her studies, and that is why her book comes
later in life.
Her interest in the mafia began in high school with
English Media Studies where she found the word in a
newspaper, starting a lifelong curiosity. Glen has a keen
perception and love of Mother Earth and its inhabitants,
be them ancient or modern, flora or fauna. She lives
quietly, in a picturesque, friendly country town in the
Brisbane Valley, Queensland.
